Okmulgee Memorial Hospital Pharmacy serves patients in the hospital’s care. All medications dispensed to patient’s are on the orders of a physician.

The hospital’s pharmacist and certified pharmacy technician are held to the highest standard of care. It’s the pharmacist’s responsibility to ensure patients are receiving the correct dosage of medications and the optimal benefit from those medications.
Sometimes our patients have multiple physicians seeing to their care. The pharmacist is one of several OMH employees whose job is to review all prescription orders for each patient and suggest the correct medications to meet the patient needs.

The certified pharmacy technician job is to support the pharmacist’s efforts in providing pharmaceutical services to the hospital’s patients. Our pharmacist and certified pharmacy technician are truly invaluable members of the hospital, and we’re so fortunate for the pharmaceutical services they provide.
