| Position Description: | Under the direct supervision of Surgery RN Manager, responsible for managing the daily activities within the Central Sterile Department, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of high quality sterile processing service within the Peri-operative Service and Hospital wide facility. Ensure that the processes used in receiving, reprocessing, sterilization and preparation for disbursement of medical devices, instruments and medical equipment are according to OMH guidelines, infection control and CSA standards. Orders supplies and maintains daily documentation of surgical procedures. Assists in preparation of surgical room, instruments and care of instruments. Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures |
